UBfind: Find papers and other media here

With our Discovery-search engine UBfind you can browse the entire collection of the University Library of Magdeburg. In addition to books, e-books and journals, you can also search for essays and articles. The results are ranged by relevance. You can also easily see if an item is available, where you can find it in the library or if you can access it online.

In addition to searching by author, year of publication, title, etc., you can also perform a thematic search thanks to intuitive search functions like “autocomplete”, filters, autocorrection and relevance sorting. It is important to avoid filler words (e.g., and, the).

Articles and essays are listed directly in UBfind. If electronic access is not possible, they can be retrieved from the stacks.

If you cannot find something in our collection, you can activate the option “search in all libraries” in the settings. Now you are browsing additionally through the collections of multiple other libraries. After finding an interesting entry you are redirected to the option of interlibrary loan.
